Rene Russo Fashion Special: Black and Blue dresses (and Rene is chic with both looks)

Rene Russo in Two for The Money premiere: a perfect dress for Rene Russo.
(photo - Steve Granitz)
Welcome 2019!
I'm going to begin the year with two colors many people (and I) love: black and blue. Black may not be a color; but it is a trend. And the blue, it's the opposite of black; and it's characterized as bright and soft.
But anyway, in any outfit, Rene Russo is amazing and chic in any of these two colors cited above!!!
Rene Russo in Lethal Weapon 3 premiere: very chic <3
(photo - Ron Galella)
As I said before in part 1 of Rene's best looks on Red Carpet, this dress Rene Russo wore on Lethal Weapon 3 premiere may confuse the fashion specalists and viewers because of the color, if the dress is dark blue or black. The hairdo and the stockings combined with the dress very perfectly.

Rene Russo having fun with her dress at TIFF Awards in 2014.

And Ms. Russo worked it out with a black dress with a V-shaped neckline and a fringe on the bottom. It caught and still catches lots of attention of many people (and men too), because she looks so sexy and sophisticated at the same time. SHE LOOKS SOOOOO PERFECT !
Rene Russo with a blue J Mendel dress: sophiscation !
(photo - Archive Photo)
But when I really talk about sophistication, I'm talking about this blue J Mendel dress Rene wore on the Golden Globe Awards in 2015. She really looks like a mermaid. And choosing the right dress is also choosing the right accessory, and Rene did the exact thing. This wonderful actress put some bright earrings and a carried a great clutch on her left hand. Work it, girl !

Hope u like it.

Rene Russo's Fashion Lookbook: We Wear Sunglasses At Night!

One of my favorite pics of Rene... the men go after her if Ms. Russo wears those sunglasses.
(Photo - Time & Life Pictures)
Sunglasses are once used as sun-shielding properties and nowadays, are also used as a fashion status. Why this reason? Because everyone can take these eyewear to many places, from the beach to the nightclubs!
Talking about Ms. Rene Russo... she puts on the sunglasses, the people go and ask to themselves when she turns around the corner: "Who's that beautiful lady??? (...) That woman's sooooo beautiful!".
So, here are some cool ideas for the girls and women to inspire like Rene !
Rene Russo sexy and stylish with butterfly-shaped sunglasses: so beautiful!
(photo - David Aguilera)
Butterfly-shaped sunglasses:
Large and in charge! This unique, butterfly-inspired shape is generally oversized and covers much of the face. The generous sizing also provides great coverage against the sun. Like in this picture above of Rene in Beverly Hills with the hair in the wind... so beautiful <3 <3

Rene so HOT and BEAUTIFUL in Wayfarer Ray-Ban sunglasses.... one of my favorites!
(photo- Archive photos)
Wayfarer sunglasses:
This versatile, timeless style features a signature thick frame and trapezoidal shape, and fits most face shapes and outfits. It's one of the most popular sunglasses between most people... Rene (and I) love these Wayfarer sunglasses!!!
Rene in beautiful rectangular-shaped sunglasses! loved it !
(photo - James Peterson)
Rectangular sunglasses:
Think wide, rectangular lenses, some with angular corners, others with more rounded edges. If the frame of the lens is wider than it is tall, it’s probably a rectangle. Ms. Rene Russo used mostly in Thomas Crown Affair and Two for the Money era.
Rene Russo in the movie In the Line Of Fire: semi-rimeless sunglasses, in the 90s.
(photo - CastleRock Entertainment)
Semi-rimeless sunglasses:
This half-framed style, also known as clubman or browline, features a frame edge on top, with no frame at the bottom. Not only men use this type of sunglasses, women too, like Rene. This lovely lady used these sunglasses specially on the movies Lethal Weapon 3 and In The Line of Fire. Even the movies are set in the 90's, she looked perfect in it.

Hope u like it!

RENE RUSSO FANPAGE PRESENTS: Dan Gilroy Special!!!

Dan Gilroy, 2017. (photo credits: Jay L. Clendenin/Getty Images)

Daniel Christopher Gilroy, known as Dan Gilroy, was born in June 24, 1959, in Santa Monica, California (USA). He is son of Frank D. Gilroy (Pullitzer-prize winning dramatist) and Ruth Dorothy Gaydos (sculptor & writer)... also brother of Tony Gilroy (director and producer, known for Michael Clayton and The Bourne Legacy), and John Gilroy (his twin brother, John is a film editor). Dan's main inspiration was his dad: When Dan was a young boy, he saw his father writing and it simplified his difficulties of becoming a writer.

Even born in Santa Monica, Dan grew up in Washingtonville, New York, on Orange County. There he attended Washingtonville High School, and in 1981, he graduated from Darthmouth College (New Hampshire), with a degree in English literature.

His screenwriting career began with Freejack (1992), directed by Geoff Murphy, and starring her future and now wife, the lovely Rene Russo (and both have a beautiful daughter, Rose, born in August 31, 1993). Dan and Rene will marry 2 months later after the film premiere. After that, in 1994, Dan will also write Chasers (1994), directed by Dennis Hopper (known for Blue Velvet, Waterworld, Speed and many others), and starring Tom Berenger (Rene worked with Tom in Major League, in 1989, but also great in Somebody's Watching over Me, Betrayed, and Platoon).

Way years later, Dan also write Two for the Money (2005), The Fall (2006), Real Steel (2011), The Bourne Legacy (2012) (his brother Tony directed the movie), and recently, Kong: Skull Island (2017).

Now to his directing career... His directing debut was Nightcrawler (2014), starring Rene Russo, Jake Gyllenhaal and Riz Ahmed. Dan's inspiration: a photo-book called Naked City, a photo collection taken by American-Hungarian photographer Weegee about 1940s New York City's residents at night. The movie was well received by the public and critics.

Last year, he directed Roman J. Israel, Esq. (2017), with Denzel Washington and Colin Farrell. Gilroy conceived of Roman J. Israel after doing extensive research about the 1960s where many Americans have staunchly protested and advocated certain individual and group rights. With Nightcrawler and Roman J. Israel, Esq., Dan proved he has lots of talent.

This year, he will direct and write Velvet Buzzsaw (2018). In recent interviews, Dan said it was inspired by The Player (1992), by Robert Altman. And it also reunites Rene Russo, Jake Gyllenhaal and John Malkovich (Rene and John Malkovich worked together 25 years ago, in the movie In the Line of Fire, in 1993). We are so excited!

Hope u like it.
Love u guys!

My favorite looks from Rene Russo on the Red Carpet/Fashion & Movie Premiere Events - Part 2

The Rene Russo version of a powerful woman. Simply STUNNING!!! (photo credits: Steve Mack/Gary Gershoff-

This is a follow-up of part 1 (published on May 7).

Gotham Independent Film Awards - December 2014.
Rene Russo showed her "powerful lady" side on Gotham Independent Film Awards, on New York City (and it's not the first time, because she is a beautiful woman). Even not wearing a dress, she decided to wear a black blouse, with black leather pants and and black ankle boots. To not bore everybody with too "matchy-matchy", she decided to put some gold jewelry to show her luxurious and powerful side!!!
And also what caught my attention was her hairdo and her makeup, it makes her even more sexy, sophisticated and more chic!!! #WorkItGirl #GoOnRene !!

Rene Russo sending some kisses to the to public. GORGEOUS! (photo credits: Time & Life Pictures)
Thomas Crown Affair, 1999
"Are you ready Rene?". Rene Russo blew off everybody's minds when she wore a Celine dress by Michael Kors (Michael was known by being one of Project Runway judges, from seasons 1-10). It might be simple, but it's very sexy. And like in this photo, Rene blowing some kisses to the public, made us falling in love with her even more!!!

Two for the Money premiere, 2005.
It's just not another black dress found in a retail store... it's a tailor-made black dress that Rene wore on the Two for the Money premiere. And it fits very, very well on her. It has some little lace details that makes Rene feel more comfortable and sexy in this dress.

Academy Awards 2015
The dress Rene wore on the Academy Awards 2015 was a beautiful J. Mendel dress. I loved it because it was an avant-garde dress (it's a dress everyone had never seen before). It's avant-garde, because it's all made by hand, its simple on the top side and it's very ellaborated on the bottom (lots of ruffles, it makes the dress avant-garde). Besides, the back is pretty!! And the dress fits like a glove!

Nightcrawler premiere - October 2014.
This dress is my favorite, not only because of the colors (silver and gray), also because it catches everybody's attention, including mine's. It's simple but it makes her a "showstopper". The dress makes her feel very young!!!

Hope u like it.

About Rene Russo, part 1

Rene Russo on two moments: Lethal Weapon 4 (1998) and Thomas Crown Affair (1999).

Beautiful, chic, versatile, talented, and very, very attractive actress. Those are my words about Rene Russo.

Rene Marie Russo, or simply Rene Russo, was born in Burbank, California, on February 17, 1954. She's daughter of Shirley Balocca, a barmaid and factory laborer, and Nino Russo, a sculptor and mechanic, and also sister of Toni Lynn Russo (Toni was known as one of the wives of Bernie Taupin, a famous singer). Unfortunately, her father left the family when Rene was just two years old.

In junior high school, Rene was plagued with scoliosis and had to wear a full-torso brace, and she suffered bullying from her classmates, because of her being tall, earning the nickname of "Jolly Green Giant". When she entered high school, she removed her brace, but still was alone, and Rene dropped out of high-school when she was on tenth grade.
After that, she took lots of part-time jobs: she sold refreshments on a theater, worked as a restaurant hostess and worked a cashier in Disneyland. Her last job was a full-time job at an eyeglass factory, inspecting contact lenses.

When Rene was 17, she was attending a Rolling Stones concert and was approached by ICM (International Creative Management) scout John Crosby, who told her she should be a model and had test photos of her. And some months later, Rene signed a contract to Ford Modeling Agency and soon she became a successful model and her modeling breaktrough came when she was on the cover of Vogue magazine.

Since 1975, Rene appeared on many magazine covers, including Vogue, Elle, Harpers' Bazaar and even Cosmpolitan (she is a record holder of Cosmpolitan, and her last cover was in September 1981), was one of the most succesful models of America, and was also seen on TV comercials through the 80s.

When Rene was 30, her modeling career began to detrace, like most models at that age. She began to study theater, acting, an intense period of literature and Christian theology. And also began appearing in theater roles at small regional theaters on Los Angeles and the entire California state.

She debuted acting on TV in 1987, in the TV series Sable (1987), portraying Eden Kendell, the main character's girlfriend, but her cinema debut was in Major League (1989), and she was Lynn Wells, Jake Taylor (Tom Berenger)'s wife. Following her debut, she was Cindy Jo in the comedy Mr. Destiny (1990). One of my favorite scenes of her in that movie was when she said "Happy Birthday" to Larry (Jim Belushi) and looked very attractive. In 1991, in her first dramatic role, Rene did One Good Cop (1991), along with Michael Keaton and she portrayed Rita Lewis.

In 1992, she starred Freejack (1992), along with Emilio Estevez, and she interpreted Julie, Alex (Emilio Estevez)'s girlfriend. The movie was not a success, but Rene was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress. The breakout success was also in the same year, in the movie Lethal Weapon 3 (1992), a box-office success. She was the internal affairs detective Lorna Cole, later reprising her role on Lethal Weapon 4 in 1998, now as Martin Riggs' (Mel Gibson) wife.

Between 1993 and 1996, Rene Russo had major roles in very successful movies, such as In the Line of Fire (1993), as Lilly Raines, Outbreak (1995), as Robby Keough, Get Shorty (1995), as Karen Flores, Tin Cup (1996), as Molly Griswold, and Ransom (1996), as Kate Mullen. She has been praised by her ability to hold her own against her male co-stars, such as Mel Gibson, Clint Eastwood, Dustin Hoffman, John Travolta and Kevin Costner.

In 1997, she did her first main character, Trudy Lintz from Buddy (1997). And in 1999, she did the remake of Thomas Crown Affair (1999), portraying Catherine Banning (Faye Dunaway did Catherine in the 1968 original). Her acting, style, and even her chemistry with Pierce Brosnan were praised. I think Rene's Catherine Banning was the most stylish character she've ever done in her entire career. And in 2000, Rene portrayed Natasha Fatale in the cartoon-adapted movie The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle (2000).

In 2002, Rene amended Showtime (2002) with Big Trouble (2002). In Showtime, she portrayed Chase, an executive producer from a TV show, and in Big Trouble, portrayed Anna Herk, Jenny (Zooey Deschanel)'s devoted mother.

In 2005, Rene also amended two movies: Two for the Money (2005), who worked also as an executive producer; and Yours, Mine and Ours (2005). In Two for the Money, she portrayed Toni, Walter (Al Pacino)'s wife, and begins a relationship with Brandon (Matthew McConaughey). And in Yours, Mine and Ours, Rene was Helen, Frank (Dennis Quaid)'s wife, and mother of 18 kids.

After Yours, Mine and Ours, Rene Russo had an acting hiatus of 6 years, and just come back acting in 2011.

To be continued.
2nd part of biography next Tuesday.
