L.A. fashion with Rene & Rose !

Every person who reads my blog would know I chose this theme for this blog post, and for a good reason! I am going to Los Angeles (again) this Thursday, and I'll be staying for a week. 

On Los Angeles, there's the famous Fashion District, and it spans for almost 100 blocks, from 6th Street down to Santa Monica Freeway, it includes famous brands and also ready-to-wear. And bring some cash to buy in the stores, because most of the stores don't accept credit cards.

Most of the clothes on Los Angeles Fashion District bring on the simplicity of the client, specially Rene Russo & daughter Rose Gilroy, also comfort and elegance, but not vulgarity, so the clothes both Ms. Russo and Ms. Gilroy catch the attention of many people!

A great tip for wearing great clothes in Los Angeles, is beyond the lucidness of the garment, is the great combining between a plain fabric and a print, for example. And Rose, like in this photo below by Ken Medilo, is working this combination perfectly.

The black dress Rene is wearing is sooo perfect for a night in the town, specially for a fancy dinner with her husband, Dan Gilroy ! Another look that brings the simplicity in her wardrobe <3.

Every season in Los Angeles, fashion cares lots of innovation, we don't want to see something we have seen before. And the garment has to be inspirational. Like Rose wore in a magazine fashion spead, what she wore has a great stamp!

Rose Gilroy for Rag and Bone: a little bit more of versatility!

Rose Gilroy is not only known as "Rene Russo's daughter", but also Rose loves showing dynamic when the topics are "photoshoot" and "fashion campaign". While in the photoshoot, Ms Gilroy demonstrates a variety of poses, proving she's versatile.

According to movie critic Burton Fisher (@fisherburton on Twitter), Rose is so different of her mother Rene when it comes to fashion aesthetic. While Ms Russo has an all-american fashion aesthetic, her daughter has a European touch on this type of aesthetic. 

This pic of her above by Bentley Gutierrez for fashion brand Rag and Bone shows Rose like she's going to Paris... because of her sensuality.

In my opinion, this pic above caught my attention because of the amazing pose Rose did, different than the others I ever saw of her, and also she looks taller than she is. 

Rose could wear also a high heel in this pic... to show how well she can handle with this footwear. But with tennis shoes, and this outfit above shows it's still simple, but chic and sexy at the same time !

Like ALC Ltd., one of the brands Rose appeared, Rag & Bone was founded in 2002 in New York City, and it has an urban chic, but clean style. 

When I saw Rose posing for Rag&Bone, I thought to myself: "Rose Gilroy is the main model of the brand. Her fashion aesthetic is exactly the same as Rag&Bone".

Rene Russo's Fashion Lookbook: Black and White Clothes, Perfect for Any Occasion! (Part 2)

If master muse Rene Russo can be fashionable with black and white clothes, so does Rose Gilroy, "the princess of the family". Ms. Gilroy inherited the fashion love and her natural beauty specially from Ms. Russo.

Rocker fashion is adored by many people, and specially Rose and myself. In a photoshoot by Ungano and Agriodimas, Rose wears the typical of rocker fashion: a black and white t-shirt with no sleeves and a great pair of ripped jeans. It's sexy and clean at the same time. A great look for going out for a night in Los Angeles.

A very Rose Gilroy chic moment is when she did the Le Lis Blanc fashion campaign and photographed by the amazing Bob Wolfenson (Bob also took photos of Brazilian celebrities, specially for fashion and men magazines). 

And like Rene, Rose also adores some amazing accessories. Accompanied by a dress and some boots, she wears a hat and a "poncho", to cover herself from the heat from the desert.

Rose, with collaboration of friend Cazzie David (who soon will launch a book), were fascinating in La Ligne fashion campaign, also with pictures taken by Ungano and Agriodimas. 

Coming from New York City, La Ligne is all about striped clothes, specially black and white. Combining striped blouses with jeans/leather pants and some high heels, it makes both girls casual and elegant.

Even though the plaid pattern was popular in the 70's and 90's, it's still popular nowadays, because of the association of hipster and grunge culture. Now, in this picture above, when Rose wears a plaid coat, this outfit is perfect for rainy days or even for a night on the town, for example, New York City, or Paris.

Every time you see Rene Russo on the street, you even ask yourself: “Did she drink the fountain of youth? “

Last night in Los Angeles, for “Velvet Buzzsaw” premiere, Ms. Russo was the center of attentions, because of sexiness, elegance and mainly, youth. Along with a clean makeup, with red lips, she wore a beautiful black blouse with black PVC trousers ! And we all looooved it ! 

She came along with Director Dan Gilroy and her 25-year-old daughter, Rose Gilroy.

Rene Russo Fanpage Presents: Rose Gilroy Special - Like Mother, Like Daughter!

Rose Jean Gilroy was born in August 31, 1993, in Los Angeles, California. She is the result of the inherited (and infinite) beauty of Rene Russo and the inherited talent of both Dan Gilroy and Ms. Rene Russo. Two years ago, Ms. Gilroy became a very gifted and attractive model. And she appeared in diverse fashion campaigns and runway shows, from Dolce & Gabbana and Tory Burch to Salvatore Ferragamo (how chic!)

Rose is even a city girl or a beach girl... When we describe Ms. Gilroy as "the city girl", I imagine her in New York City (like in this pic above), Milan or Paris; when we describe her as "the beach girl", I imagine her mainly in California beaches. According to Rose to Tory Burch site: "There are so many beautiful beaches across the California coast. One of my favorite summer getaways is Big Sur. The drive there from L.A. has stunning ocean views and it’s such a nice break from the city.". Great recommendation, Rose!

One of my favorite Rose Gilroy's fashion campaigns is obviously Salvatore Ferragamo, in 2016. In my opinion, she shows her elegance just like mom in the 70s and 80s, despite her age. And a beautiful detail: it has a portrait of Rose, like a child, along with her mom Rene, truly proving that beauty and cuteness is in the Russo-Gilroy family.

A good piece of advice from Ms. Rene to the lovely Rose:

"My mom always says that to look good you have to feel confident in what you’re wearing. She taught me to stay true to myself and wear what I feel most comfortable in. Part of having great style is allowing your personality to show in a way that is unique to you."

Many people ask themselves... "Is it OK to wear the same outfits over and over again?" . For many, it isn't, but for Rene Russo, yes!!! This lovely woman doesn't care if she wears the same outfit, but without losing her elegance. Or style. Anyway, this style inspires lots of women (and girls too!)

"I'm into leather trousers"

In fashion world, leather trousers advanced in the late 90's and also is fashion-forward until today. In Rene's case, it's one of her favorite pieces, and she used this type of trousers for the first time on her best movie (and on our favorite too), Thomas Crown Affair (1999). It makes her look sexy and young. Ms. Russo loves combining these leather trousers with a blouse (preference black or white), leaving the look more balanced.

"Everything White"

Beyond black and some sort of colors, Rene also love white when we talk about clothes. And as I said before in some posts, this look is one of my favorites, because it mixes simplicity, sensuality and balance (and in fashion, white means simplicity, and this look is more than that).

"One Dress, Two Companies"
Why this title? This photo explains everything, because Rene is accompanied by Jake Gyllenhaal (his fellow worker in the movie Nightcrawler) in one moment, and in another, accompanied by her daughter, Rose Gilroy (who is sooo beautiful like Ms. Russo). The dress this lovely lady is wearing is adequate even on a movie premiere or a chic dinner !!! And it fits her very well, fits her like a glove!!!
